The Agency for Finance in Kosovo (AFK) is Financial Institution, initially registered as a program of Mercy Corps Kosovo (since September 1999), and re-registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in February 2002.

AFK operates throughout the territory of Kosovo: Peja Center, Prishtina, Prizren, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Fushë Kosovë, Lipjan, Istog, Klina, Skënderaj, Malisheva, Theranda, Rahovec, Deçan, Drenas, Vushtrri, Podujevë, Shtime, Viti, Gracanica.

AFK implements individual loan methodology, with a projected amount of the first loan, averaging of € 3,000.

Customers who repay their loan on time are encouraged to apply for additional loan that may be of a higher value. Customers must prove that they possess collateral that guarantees the loan, and must have two guarantors as well as family witnesses to sign the loan agreement.

The AFK mission is to improve living conditions in Kosovo by providing sustainable financial services to small businesses and micro-enterprises.
