Whistleblowing

The Agency for Financing in Kosovo (hereinafter AFK) is a legal entity pursuant to the LAW No. 06/L-085 ON THE PROTECTION OF WHISTLEBLOWERS and, mutatis mutandis, in compliance with the obligations arising from this Law, AFK has established the rules and procedures for whistleblowing, the rights and protection of whistleblowers, as well as other obligations related to whistleblowing. 

Within this framework, AFK has undertaken the necessary steps and actions for the implementation of the key issues relating to the protection of whistleblowers, and among the most important are as follows: 

  • Drafting policies for receiving and handling whistleblowing cases;
  • Designating a whistleblowing responsible officer;
  • Establishing channels (lines) for reporting whistleblowing;
  • Drafting relevant forms for reporting whistleblowing;
  • Drafting written instructions for informing and raising staff awareness according to legal requirements.

Attention!

We make it clear that: 

  • The presentation or reporting of cases related to conflicts or abnormal interpersonal and intercollegial relationships, as well as other actions or behaviors related to harassment, discrimination or other employment issues do not fall within the scope of whistleblowing and as such should not be presented/reported by any employee, in this reporting mechanism/platform, but the same should be reported to your direct supervisor or to the human resources department, which are then handled through the employee complaints mechanism, in accordance with the policy for handling employee complaints.
  • Complaints or claims of customers or other persons outside AFK, relating to their dissatisfaction with the services and products provided by AFK, as well as with the bad behavior (improper or unethical) of AFK staff in relation to them, should not be reported/addressed for treatment through this platform and this reporting mechanism, but they should be reported/addressed for treatment to the other platform, which is the customer complaints mechanism.
